...an international environment with offices around Europe, with headquarters in Stockholm, Sweden. You will join a fast and innovative environment and be part of an entrepreneurial and well-positioned company, growing at an exciting pace. Scrive is filled with caring, smart and committed people who know that we need to collaborate to win. We care about each other and challenge ourselves and each other as we strive to be better and grow, both as individuals and as a company. Our aim is that a few years from now, you will be able to say: “We did that, I was a part of the Scrive story.”
For us to keep on delivering the best product on the market, we are expanding our Service Operations Team to include a Frontend Reliability Engineer. In this role you will report to your team lead and the Head of Service Operations.
The position is remote, available to anyone living in the EU, but if you are located in Stockholm, you can also come to work at our HQ office in central Stockholm (subject to Covid-19 restrictions, of course).
The role primarily involves analyzing and resolving reported problems with any of the frontends of Scrive’s in-house developed services. As such, you will work in a tight group where we don’t have regular sprints and deadlines but do have problems that require reactive detective work, quick resolution, communication across teams and, often, hotfixing. You will also be expected to participate in improving the team’s ability to function proactively, both technically (fault isolation, diagnosis, producing requirements for other departments) and otherwise (communication, reporting, etc).
Assisting in system updates out of hours is required should the need arise.
Additionally, following and participating in architectural discussions with engineering departments, suggesting improvements to engineers and having a good general perspective on system reliability is necessary.
It should be stressed that the development undertaken in this role does not entail ordinary implementation of business logic by specification, but rather fixing and improving when existing solutions fall short or fail altogether.
For this role, we want to see that you are self-reliant, co-operative and flexible. We’re using a competence-based recruitment process where those competencies will play an important role.
Who you are
To succeed in the role as Frontend Reliability Engineer, you must have following qualifications:
Frontend development (intermediate or higher
React, Redux and Backbone experience
UNIX or Linux experience
Good debugging skills
Bonus points if you have previous experience of:
Backend development experience
Database experience (PostgreSQL)
Our selection process is continuous, and the advert may close before the recruitment process is completed if we have moved forward to the screening or interview phase.
